Family Advocate- Federalsburg

The Family Advocate is responsible for assisting families in becoming more self-sufficient, and will act as an advocate for the community that MRDC serves.
Duties include recruitment for development sessions, instruction in sessions, and active case management during and after completion of sessions to help insure and maintain successful implementation of the family's development plan.
Be familiar and aware of the revised Head Start Performance Standards with emphasis on ERSEA, Family & Community Partnership and Health & Safety Work with HS Director, Coordinators and staff to insure the adherence of Head Start Performance Standards, Office of Child Care Regulations, Health Department and Local Education Agency (LEA) regulations To recruit children from the demographic area for centers assigned To interview each parent assigned, for the completion of all forms and/or information as required Assure all enrollment documents (income, birth certificates, etc.
) and health records are completed prior to child being enrolled into program To achieve total enrollment within a new program year and maintain full enrollment throughout the year Must provide a positive, supportive environment for families in a helping professional manner representing the HS program as a component and effective organization Requirements Preferred B.
S.
degree in Sociology or Social Work or related fields Minimum two (2) years of college level work with a major in sociology or psychology or a minimum of two (2) years' experience in the field of community organization and social work.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
