Flexo printing/packaging company 90 minutes from Baltimore and DC
is interested in hiring an experienced Printing Manager for a day shift position. Candidates MUST HAVE previous experience with roll to roll flexo printing on paper or film. This position will report directly to the Plant Manager.
Job Duties:
Fosters consistency throughout the printing and converting departments by minimizing process variation in the Flexographic Printing Department. Provides technical expertise with all aspects of printing including, but not limited to, print registration, line trap issues, screen and process print issues, printer mechanical problems, product movement and staffing.
Maintains effective communication with the Graphics Technical staff concerning operation print capability versus graphics requests. Evaluated flexographic press proofs for difficult printing requirements and communicates / resolves gaps.
Periodically reviews and communicates Corporate Print requirements as compared to the facility capabilities and makes recommendations for improvements.
Evaluates supplier capabilities and facilitates improvement opportunities. Understands supplier issues and recommends / facilitates improvements and corrective action.
Develops printing operation capital planning and purchases to support improvement needs in the Flexographic Printing Department. Implements projects as approved.
Ensures data acquisition / analysis occurs to support preventative maintenance improvements and schedule refinement. Oversees activity to verify work is completed as required.
Ensures effective staffing utilization, provides work directions, resolves problems, prepares schedules and sets deadlines to ensure timely completion of work. Coordinates activities of the department to deliver EHS, cost and quality metrics. Ensures printing activities support of other departments in delivering overall operation performance metrics.
Monitors and analyzes costs to deliver spending standards. Prepares reports and records on department activities for management review.
Evaluates current procedures and practices for accomplishing department objectives, and develops and implements improved procedures and practices to promote continuous improvement. Ensures press employees follow SOPs.
Develops and maintains effective training processes of the Flexographic Printing Department employees. May initiate or authorize employee hires, promotions, discharges or transfers.
As a strong leader, communicates across multiple lines of management and effectively interacts with operations personnel.
Manages and evaluates performance of staff by coaching employees, conducting performance appraisals, administers discipline and training / development through on-the-job programs.
Analyzes and recommends manpower requirements, recommends qualifications and individuals for hire, assigns and directs work, ensures proper safety equipment is worn and proper safety procedures are followed. Is directly responsible for the safety of those under his/her supervision.

Qualifications:
Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in related field but will accept 3-5 years experience managing flexographic printing operation. Candidates must have a high skill and knowledge level in the technical field of flexo. Also strong communications, leadership and organizational skills. Mechanical aptitude, math and computer skills.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
